In Today’s Newsletter: Welcome to an attempt to make your time reading this worthwhile. I have been toying with the idea of a curatorial newsletter sprinkled with opinion. You’re reading the first ever edition. This one is breezy and focuses on some interesting things I discovered. There is a lot of talk about agents as assistants etc but how close are they to taking your job?

Elsewhere, we get introduced to potentially the most exciting new feature (probably) coming to YouTube and I conclude by sharing some links talking bout things that sounded non-obvious to me.

As someone who works in Arts and Media, the theoretical and observed AI coverages are both one of the highest. Am I worried? Are you worried? DM me to share the fear.

This could be the next big YouTube feature

Jonah Feingold (writer and director) has a very interesting brain. He produces romantic movies and has realized that YouTube is missing a very obvious feature: Pay-per-view for creators. Currently, you can buy and rent movies from studios on YouTube, but not from creators. This seems like a no-brainer, and Fede Goldberg (Head of TV and Film Partnerships at YouTube) agrees. Only a matter of time. Adding revenue streams has never been a bad idea.

The Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith turns 150

Today is the 250th anniversary of the publication of The Wealth of Nations by Scottish economist Adam Smith. The book has aged well. The invisible hand forced me to write this line.
